Hi! I’m Isabel, a 25-year-old grad student in Mental Health Counseling, thrilled for the chance to work with wonderful families in the Triangle! My childcare journey began with my nephew’s newborn days, and since then, I’ve had the joy of caring for children of all ages—from toddlers to preteens.

I’ve been a nanny and household manager for a lovely family with a sweet 14-month-old boy and with my most recent family, an energetic 7-year-old. My role includes everything from feedings, nap routines, and engaging playtime with the toddler to after-school care, homework help, and fun activities with the older child, along with managing household tasks to keep everything running smoothly.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I babysat most of my life with toddlers to pre-teens! My current job is as a nanny to a 14-month-old, and I have been there since August 2024.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love keeping kids entertained with a mix of fun, creative activities! Storytime is a favorite—I bring books to life with different voices and expressions. Arts and crafts are also big on my list, from painting to DIY projects that let kids be creative. Outside, we enjoy walks, park visits, or even mini scavenger hunts. Imaginative play is another go-to, whether it’s building forts, being superheroes, or running a pretend shop.

I like sneaking in learning with games for reading and counting, whether with material I create or good ole Miss Rachel's help during tech times! We also have music and dance time, and we bake simple treats in the kitchen. For older kids, I introduce easy breathing exercises or fun puzzles and board games for teamwork.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is making each child feel as loved as possible. I strive to care for them as if I’m their third parent, providing support, guidance, and plenty of affection. Creating a nurturing environment where they feel safe and valued is my top priority, and I take pride in being someone they can trust and rely on.

My experience with special needs children...

I don’t have direct experience working with special needs children, but I’m very open and eager to learn. I’m willing to complete any training necessary to ensure I can provide the best care and support. My goal is to adapt to each child’s unique needs and help them feel safe, supported, and engaged.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments is when my kids and I have spontaneous dance parties every time I play a particular song. It’s hilarious how some children have “their song” even at such a young age! Watching their faces light up and seeing them dance with joy always makes my day. It's those little moments that make being a nanny so special!
