Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I babysat in high school often and then became a nanny for a brief period of time after high school. Since then I’ve explored other areas of the job market including restaurants. But I’ve felt called to return to child care as I’m older, more mature and feel as though I have a better understanding of childhood development and the importance. It’s been years since I’ve been in the childcare market, but feel much better equipped and passionate.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Art! I absolutely adore doing anything creative with children.
Movement! Dancing, stretching, jumping around. Whatever feels good for them and their body.
Singing! I love to engage with children through song. Could be a nursery rhyme or I like to make up songs as I go.
Learning! I love learning new things. Helping children learn or learning things together is so much fun for me.
Finding laughter together. Even if it’s a house chore, finding ways to make it joyful brings me joy.
