The most important part about being a nanny...
Something I find really important about caregiving in general is being thoughtful in every little thing you do. That could be something as small as the placement of someone’s pillows on their bed to the nice gestures you do to go the extra mile. That also means thinking about the worst case scenario, and being absolutely certain you’re doing everything in your power to intentionally avoid that or have the capacity to handle it if something were to happen. Being educated and well prepared for every situation is one of the most important abilities you have as a nanny, babysitter, or caregiver in general, because you are taking on the responsibility of being someone’s guardian for a certain period of time.

I was an intern with this kindergarten class, and I was nearing my last few days before I had to graduate, and this sweet little gave me the biggest hug and drew the cutest little stick figure picture of us in crayons! I literally cried it was the sweetest thing ever.
