A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Isabel Zagal, and I am a bilingual childcare professional with over 10 years of experience working with children from infancy through elementary school. I have worked as a private nanny, in-home childcare provider, teacher assistant, and most recently as a Parent Mentor volunteer, where I support elementary students with literacy and classroom activities.

I am fluent in Spanish and English, and I specialize in creating nurturing, structured, and engaging environments where children feel safe and excited to learn. My background includes preparing age-appropriate activities, supporting children’s social and emotional growth, and partnering closely with families to ensure strong communication and trust.

Families I’ve worked with describe me as reliable, compassionate, and creative. I truly enjoy helping children explore their world, build confidence, and develop lifelong skills. I would love the opportunity to bring my experience and care to your family.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over 10 years of experience caring for children of all ages, from infants to elementary students. My background includes working as a private nanny, in-home childcare provider, and teacher assistant, as well as volunteering as a Parent Mentor supporting literacy in the classroom. I focus on creating safe, nurturing, and engaging environments that help children grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy reading stories with children to build early literacy, creating arts and crafts to spark creativity, and playing educational games that make learning fun. I also love spending time outdoors—whether it’s going for walks, playing at the park, or exploring nature. With older children, I provide homework help and academic support, and I often include music, dancing, and movement to encourage physical development. I also enjoy preparing simple, healthy snacks with kids to help them build independence and confidence.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny is building trust with both the children and their families, working together to provide consistency, care, and encouragement every day

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny was helping a little boy I cared for learn to read his first full book in spanish. We had been practicing letter sounds and reading together for weeks, and the look of pride on his face when he realized he could do it on his own was unforgettable. It reminded me why I love working with children—being part of those milestones and seeing their confidence grow
