A little bit about me

I grew up with 3 younger sisters and also have a 7-year-old nephew, so I've always helped out with kids since I was little. I started babysitting when I was about 14 and would always help family friends or other families. When I graduated high school, I started working as a Paraprofessional in an elementary school. I have done that ever since, for the last 4 years. Next year would be my 5th year doing it. I did work at a daycare for about half a school year as well. I have a second job that I work at nights and on the weekends. I'm currently attending school to get my degree in Education. I'm looking to become a nanny because I just want to start something new and I know I would love it because I absolutely adore working with kids. It's been my passion forever!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I work at an elementary school as a paraprofessional and have for the past almost 5 years. I also have been babysitting for as long as I can remember!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing hide and seek indoors and outdoors. Outdoors, I also like playing tag or sports or any game they can think of with their imagination. Indoors, I like doing crafts, coloring, building forts, watching movies, playing board games, or just playing with their toys with them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the kids stay happy and smiling the whole time and helping families out.

My experience with special needs children...

I helped my neighbor a couple years ago with two of their children that have autism. One of them was severely autistic and the other had a mild form of autism, but I absolutely adored them. I also work as a paraprofessional as a one on one with children that have special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was when I played hide and seek with three children and then read a book to the youngest child. We then all sat on the couch and watched a movie and the little girl fell asleep in my lap and her oldest brother covered her with a blanket and gave her her favorite stuffed animal. It was just such a pure moment that I will remember forever.
