A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Isabella Gonzalez. I’m currently a senior at Clarksburg High School! My child care carrier started when I was 15 and became a teacher for elementary aged children at my church. Summer of 2021 I had a chance to work at Bar-T summer camp! I enjoyed the work I did with the kids and getting to bond and grow connections with them! Once summer ended I was offered a position at Bar-T for their school year program, where I have been working ever since and have loved it! I plan on attending the University of Maryland this fall with a major in psychology and an ultimate goal to become a child’s therapist! I grew up in a latin house hold, Spanish was my first language but English is now my primary language. I don’t consider myself fluent in spanish, but I understand it, can read it, and I can speak it well. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I participated in a class at my current High School called Child Development for 2 years . In this course we would care for and teach preschool students. We would be in charge of teaching them fundamental information (ex. abc, how to count, how to write their names etc.) all through interactive and fun crafts!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy playing board games with kids and doing crafts to let their creativity shine! I would also love to watch movies and shows with the kids. But I also would enjoy taking them outside to the playground or for a walk to make sure they get that important time outside!

The most important part about being a nanny...

What I value most about being a nanny is of course making sure the kid is always protected and safe, but that they also feel safe wherever they are. As well as, allowing the kid to have fun and enjoy themselves in a safe environment. I also love making connections with the kids and finding out their personality day by day. I’ve had instances where kids have come to me to tell me how they are feeling and I’ve helped walk them through their emotions and find a solution to their problem. I think it is very important for a child to have multiple people they feel safe talking too about their emotions, and I would be more then happy to be one of those people!
