A little bit about me

I’m Isabella, and I’m a junior at the University of Oregon. I have four younger siblings, and we love playing board games and soccer together and having movie nights on the weekends.

In high school I volunteered weekly with special needs schools in my Los Angeles hometown, including Willenburg Special Education Center, Center for Learning Unlimited, and Park Western Place Elementary. I also began tutoring math in my senior year, working with middle and high school students on geometry and algebra. During school breaks I help coach kids’ baseball and soccer, I volunteer teaching art to elementary schools, and I help around at my younger siblings schools, teaching the students to read and assisting the teachers to organize their classrooms. This past spring I was in Spain for three months babysitting and teaching English to the three girls in my host family every day. I absolutely loved working with them and really want to continue working with kids after this experience.
