I have a little more than three years of professional child care and behavior therapy experience. I worked as an ABA therapist for a little over a year with children on the autism spectrum. The most important part about being a nanny...
I remember a moment when a nonverbal client I was working with said my name for the first time. I walked into my session, and he said, "Hi Izzy." Although it may not seem like much, that child worked so hard on his ability to communicate verbally, and this was the first sign that we were making progress! He is a pro now, and I am so proud of all he has accomplished.
