During the summer of 2026, I worked as a Summer camp counselor and tended to the needs of children from the ages of 6-13. I worked at Sorrentino Recreation center and was given praise for my hard work, improvement, and responsibility.
I also babysat in the past for two years, catering to a 10 year old girl, 2 little boys (ages 8-10), and an autistic 6-7 year old.

I love getting kids active and moving throughout the day so that it’ll be easy to put them straight to sleep at night.
Board games, puzzles, bike riding , playing at the park, racing, dancing, walks and so on! I am always open to the wants of the child and include activities they may find fun.

I think the ability to empathize, talk to children as if they’re the same age as you, and listen to children when they vocalize their self-expression is so crucial as a nanny or guardian.
My experience with special needs children...
During my time at the recreation center, I dealt with both kids and co-workers who were special needs and needed guidance without judgment. I ensured Sorrentino was a safe space for them because I knew that being different can reduce the amount of places you are welcomed.
I made sure that the worksite/campsite was clean and non-hazardous.
