I have worked with all types of children over the last 20 plus years. I also have a 3-year-old grandson and another grandbaby on the way. I moved here from Southern Oregon a year ago. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a personal support worker and I worked with children who have developmental disabilities for the majority of my adult life. I have also been taking care of kids since I was 9 years old. I may be older, 56, but I have a lot of energy and the patience that comes with maturity. I am an excellent cook as well. I am also organized, dependable, and kids love me. Top it all off, I have the experience of motherhood and being a grandma.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

If the kids are having fun, I love doing it. I enjoy arts and crafts, reading, playing games, coloring, and going to the library, children's museum, anything fun. Picking up toys can even be made fun!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Children are highly impressionable. Having a person you can trust and depend on to take care of them is paramount.

My specialty is working with special needs kids, especially those with autism and nonverbal children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think one of my favorite memories would be when I gave a group of kids disposable cameras. We took pictures that day of anything and everything that interested us. It was a lot of fun getting those developed and seeing what caught the kids' eyes.
Making colored bubbles and letting them pop on stretched out butcher paper create some pretty neat looking art. Kids love it too.
