The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part about being a nanny is building a trusting and loving relationship with both the child and the family. It’s more than just keeping a child safe—it’s about being a consistent, nurturing presence in their lives, someone who supports their development, celebrates their milestones, comforts them when they’re upset, and helps shape their confidence and character.
Children thrive when they feel secure and understood, and I take great care in creating that kind of environment. Being a nanny means becoming part of a family’s world, respecting their values, and working together to help their child grow into their best self. It’s a responsibility I take seriously and a role I’m honored to have.

My experience with special needs children...
I’ve worked closely with families, therapists, and educators to follow tailored care plans, implement strategies that promote communication and independence, and provide emotional support throughout the day. I’m comfortable adapting activities to suit each child’s abilities and needs while ensuring they still have fun and feel included. Helping children overcome challenges, celebrate milestones, and build confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was helping a shy little boy I cared for find his confidence. He was very quiet when I first started, barely speaking and hesitant to engage in group play. Over time, through patient one-on-one attention, and lots of encouragement, he began to open up. One day, completely unprompted, he stood up during a playgroup and proudly shared a story he had made up. His smile said everything. Seeing that kind of growth and knowing I played a small part in helping him come out of his shell was incredibly heartwarming and a reminder of why I love this work.
