A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Jackie, and I am a college student taking a gap year to live in Mammoth Lakes, where I work as a snowboard instructor at Mammoth Mountain. At college, I am an environmental policy major, an outdoor trip leader, and a sustainability researcher. I am passionate about working with kids and hope to pursue a career in youth outdoor education! I am Wilderness First Aid and CPR certified, and love spending time outside. At school, I used to work with a gardening education program, in which I supervised weekly garden learning sessions for 6-10-year-olds, and was hired to lead 13-15-year-olds on a multiweek bike touring trip, though it was cancelled due to COVID. Recently, I have been babysitting children ages 2-7 here in Mammoth. I am happy to help out with occasional babysitting, or more long-term nannying depending on your needs. I have my own transportation and am comfortable driving others. I am willing to help out with cooking, homework/online classes, and excursions.
