A little bit about me

Hi my name is Jackey and I am 24 years old. I grew up in a large family so I was always surrounded by children of all ages. I volunteered at my local nursery for a few years then transitioned to working at a summer camp for under privileged children for 4 years. There I was working with children ranging in ages of 9 to 14. I also worked with UCSB Summer Day Camp summer 2022 and had a wonderful time, and was in charge of 20+ children all day long. It was an amazing experience and worked with children ages 5-9. I also ran an afterschool STEM program in San Diego for 2 years. Working with children aged 4-13 years old.

"Jackey was always on time, and always had time for my little one. There were certain times I had an emergency come up and she worked to the best of her ability to help me out. If I ever had to cancel for any reason she was more than understanding. Since she speaks fluent Spanish, it was a great opportunity to teach my little one a few words here and there. I cannot give enough amazing recommendations for Jackey! I was really upset when she had to move away, but I was and continue to be so grateful for the help she provided throughout the years."

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered at my local nursery for a few years and gained experience working with newborn and infants. I also worked at a summer camp for four years designed to help underprivileged children, there I was responsible for children ranging between the ages of 9 and 14.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy teaching children new crafts to enjoy ( I make handmade bracelet looms that are very easy to use ). I also like a nice day at the park or a nice stroll around the neighborhood, as I believe it is very important for children's' growth to spend ample time outside.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being there. Not only for the children but for the parents as well. I want to be able to ease any worries a parent might have to allow them to get what they need done without having any added stress.
