More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I also cared for children includes volunteering with special education students, working in elementary school summer and after-school programs, and supporting my younger sibling through speech and developmental challenges.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love keeping things fun and educational, whether it’s teaching kids Spanish, beginner ASL, going over math problems, or making history exciting through stories and games. Indoors, I enjoy arts & crafts, storytelling 📖, baking little treats together 🧁, or putting on a movie and having a cozy learning moment. Outdoors, I love nature walks, scavenger hunts, chalk art, and anything that lets us explore and play in the sunshine 🌞! Every day is a chance to learn something new, and I love sharing that joy with little ones!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the most important parts of being a nanny is helping children build confidence and life skills they’ll carry with them forever. I love teaching them everyday habits like cleaning up after themselves, practicing good hygiene, and taking care of their appearance—because those little routines help shape their sense of self and independence! I enjoy involving them in fun daily activities that encourage growth and responsibility. For babies, I focus on lots of sensory play, tummy time, singing, reading, and creating a warm, nurturing environment where they feel safe, loved, and stimulated. Every stage of childhood is special, and I’m passionate about supporting each one with care and joy!
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with children who have special needs, including my own sibling who experienced developmental delays and emotional challenges. I’ve helped her through grounding techniques, emotional regulation, and building daily routines that made her feel safe and supported. Through my studies in Communication Sciences and Disorders, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of speech and developmental delays, and my ASL classes have helped me begin to communicate more inclusively. I believe every child learns in their own unique way, and I love finding fun, compassionate, and creative ways to support their growth and confidence!
