More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked at two different daycares! I worked in every room at both centers; therefore, I have worked with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old! Additionally, I have babysat for other families over the years! The oldest being 12 years old, the youngest being 6 weeks old!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I loved making up silly obstacle courses or other games with my students. This allowed the children to get out all their energy in a new and fun way! I also love reading with children, they can always learn something new! Children's minds are like a big sponge, it is so important to make sure that you give them the proper tools they need in order to continue learning!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Establishing trust between not only myself and the parent, but also myself and the child. At the end of the day, the child is the most important person in the relationship. I want the child to be able to trust me and like me; it will make everything more difficult if these needs are not met!:(

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with two different children who were autistic. I am more than willing to work with a child who is special needs!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is when a child utilizes something that we learned together. For instance, I will never forget when one of my students told their friend that they "felt frustrated" when the friend took her toy. I was so proud of her! Especially since she used to result to hitting or biting if she became upset. I love seeing children grow and develop!
