I babysat a girl for 1-3 hours every weekday in the school year for 4 years. I was 13 when I started and 17 when I left. She had just turned 10 when I left. I also do mild, unpaid childcare for family members when they just need someone to watch their kids for a little bit at a time. Those kids have been anywhere from newborns to teens.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I used to teach the girl I babysat how to crochet. I read with her, watched tv, played board games and video games, cleaned up, did her hair or makeup for school events. We played hide and seek, played with the dogs, jumped on the trampoline, looked through the garden, played on the swing
set, ran races, etc. Those were all things I enjoyed doing and have enjoyed doing with kids.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I had spent a night over with the girl I babysat because her parents had work so early in the morning. She turned off my alarm and snuck into her mom's nail polish and got it all over herself, the couch, and the carpet. That is when I began setting extra alarms and keeping a lock on my phone.
It wasn't funny at the time, but it is pretty funny to look back on.
