Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love watching Disney movies with kids. Doing arts & crafts is super fun as well! If I'm babysitting a baby or toddler, I would absolutely LOVE to take them on walks in their stroller. I am also open to playing educational games with them so that they can learn ahead of time while mommy is at work! As far as older kids, I love getting to know them and giving them advice and guidance that I needed at their age.

My experience with special needs children...
I used to work as a direct support professional (DSP) who worked with a 25 year old young adult with William's Syndrome. He was very independent for the most part and just needed support with things such as cooking, reaching the top shelf, transportation, assistance with money, and discussing his emotions. His mother told me that I was a very good listener and that I always cheered him up on his not so sunny days. I worked with him for a little over a year, but had to eventually resign due to a full-time internship opportunity for school.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have sweet memories of going on walks with the little girl that I babysat and getting snowballs. Also, I loved watching my girls bowling and cheering for them when they'd get strikes!
