More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked in multiple childcare facilities with all kinds of kids. I have taught easily over 100 kids how to swim in my time as a swim instructor. I have also rescued and provided first aid children frequently as a lifegaurd. These are skills I still possess and actively practice. I love to keep all of my certifications up to date and would be more than happy to help anyone!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
☆ Sports such as soccer, tennis, volleyball, swimming, and basketball!
☆ I love going for walks around the neighborhood especially if there's opportunity to walk the dog or have the kids ride their bikes / scooters.
☆ I have kids participate in meal prep so they can understand how to make their own snacks when their older while also teaching kitchen safety.
☆ Clearly, I love going to the pool! And I love to teach kids how to swim if they cannot already, as well as educating them on water safety.
☆ I love doing arts and crafts and fun projects as well as aiding in after school projects and homework!
☆ I always know a good movie to watch for those rainy days and nights!
☆ I absolutely love taking the kids out to museums and interactive spaces (such as play spaces) so they can find excitement in new things and get out of the house for a bit! (And maybe burn some energy haha)
☆ I can do anything and everything it's just down to the child and the parents preferences!

The most important part about being a nanny...
Safety and comfort! I want parents to have peace of mind when they entrust me with their kids and most importantly I want the kid(s) to feel safe and comfortable as well. This creates a much more peaceful environment for everyone involved! :)
My experience with special needs children...
I have taught and cared for many children across different sides of the special needs spectrum. I treat these kids one in the same as I do my others, and it may take some time for us to understand each other but a little patience goes a long way! 💕
The most important part about being a nanny...
I once was making breakfast for a kid and he spilled his milk everywhere, and I mean everywhere. There was milk on me, him, as well as the kitchen and the floor. He looked so upset and disappointed in himself and I immediately started laughing. And in return (and slight confusion haha) he also began to laugh. I told him that he simply made a mistake and all we had to do was clean up! We cleaned up the mess together and when we were done he thanked me for not being angry. Later on if he did spill or accidentally break something he would immediately tell me and help me clean it. It's moments like these that make me so happy because I could actively see the difference I had made in his mindset. It's a really beautiful thing to help kids grow into better adults.
