A little bit about me

I am a dedicated Infant & Newborn Care Specialist who loves supporting families during their earliest stages. I prioritize roles focused on newborns, infants, and multiples, where my training makes the greatest impact. I have over six years of experience in licensed childcare centers and private homes, plus volunteer work with AmeriCorps and SpelReads supporting early literacy. My training includes CPR/First Aid, Bright from the Start certification in reading and language development, and a Bachelor’s degree from Spelman College. I offer full‑scope infant care including bottle prep, breastmilk/formula handling, diapering, soothing, sleep‑routine support, language development, meal prep, errands, and infant‑related housekeeping. I bring a calm, knowledgeable presence to every home, helping families feel supported and at ease.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Nannies have multiple important roles. As much as I love the babies and being able to provide for them in a nurturing and developmentally limitless way, I have come to really value the idea that I am helping out a parent or parents in an irreplaceable way. Mommies need to be able to reset physically and mentally during postpartum stages. I value being an additional member of her village at such an important moment in time. Able to provide that additional set of hands that are proactive and actually effective. With my services, parents naturally become more emotionally engaged with their babies. It is my opinion that more emotional engagement during infancy sets the tone for a more emotionally stable childhood. To know that my services could inspire the difference between a happy and unhappy childhood is my why.

My experience with special needs children...

I have briefly had experience with a child that was on the autism spectrum, and I have brief experience working with infants/toddlers with mobility issues. This area is ultimately not my specialty, but I am willing to provide support to these infants/toddlers and their families.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have many favorite and memorable moments as a nanny, but one I’ll always value is attending a family vacation to Florida. Although I was performing my duties, I actually still feel as though I had a vacation as well. We visited a few theme parks, had some poolside fun, and made unforgettable memories. I truly appreciate that family’s hospitality on that trip. It was extended family as well, yet I felt like I had known them for a long time by the end of the trip. I didn’t have to worry about paying for any of the expenses required for me to be there either, which I certainly felt grateful for. I also still received my hourly rate which was nonnegotiable. This experience certainly improved my perspective of vacation work trips with families.
