During my first (albeit informal) babysitting job, when I'd been asked to watch the two year old granddaughter of a family friend. It was during the summer, so I took her out to the pool that was available at the house. While playing in what would normally be the hot tub, (it was turned off for obvious reasons) she suddenly turned and jumped into my arms. The absolute trust present in that moment is beyond anything I'd experienced before, and it singlehandedly cemented my interest in working with children.
