My experience with special needs children...
I have only work with one little boy who had Autism. Mother did not tell me until 30 mintues after being her kid. I was more nervous than anything. I knew i had to have more patience with him and most likely will repeat myself to him for him to understand me. He had more of a free time he did art but just not with other kids he had free play while they were at art then he did art while they played and i made lunch.
