A little bit about me

Hello my name is Jamie. I am a mother of 5. My oldest daughter is 19, son 17, son that would be 15 but passed away from being miss diagnosed for an ear infection and he had acute bronchial pneumonia. I have a daughter that is 14, and a son that's 11. I have raised my kids on my own and I wouldn't have it any other way. I have been in the healthcare world for 16yrs as a CNA. I got hurt on Aug 1 2020 and had to have surgery. I was working the COVID hall when I fell. I am currently back in school for my RN. I have always loved babies /kids. I have almost changed my major to open a daycare. I worked in a daycare while still in high school and loved it. I am a very clean person. Very ocd. My landlord tells people I'm the cleanest person in the Kanawha valley lol. My kids are growing up. I miss when they was small. They are hard to snuggle now that they are older. I would love to be the one to take care of your little one(s) for you.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have had 5 kids myself. My mom does foster care and the 3yr old she has now we have had since birth and between me and my mom we both had him before he went into foster care trying to keep him safe and out of the environment he was living in and I am down as safety with cps now. I have watched kids my whole life.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Taking walks, going to the park, playing outside, reading books, playing with toys, learning new things, I love to teach them new things..

The most important part about being a nanny...

That the child feels safe, loved and they can always come to me for anything. I think every child should have someone they feel safe talking to. I adore kids.

My experience with special needs children...

When I worked in a daycare years ago we had a special needs child and I worked well with him. He took to me well. I would do activities that he could do and have fun doing .

The most important part about being a nanny...

I used to keep this little girl it's my daughter's friends baby she's 1yrs old now but I took her outside when it was summer and had her in a activity jumper and I got out the water hose and let her feel the water with her fingers and on her toes. He laugh and smile was absolutely priceless !! I have many fun memories with her. I kept her for 4 weeks once.
