Hello... I'm Jamie. I have had the best time being a parent. My son is now 21 and off adulting. Friends would say I am imaginative, creative, compassionate, and an engaging person. I was a working, single parent that could juggle my business, being a room parent, and housework all while creating a happy, supportive life for my son. I have a joyful, positive personality. I have been told I have a good diplomatic style, and understand there are good days and bad days for kids. I can tell the difference when kids need room to process their feelings, express their ideas, or just need a plain old nap. I enjoy learning parenting styles and hope to be an enhancement with my experience. I loved the baby stage, and although my baby hasn't been a baby for some time, I included babies, because I could see myself supporting a family for a long time. I am also a great back up if you have a current nanny or need a night out. I am willing to travel with a family when needed.

I love teaching and learning from the children I sit for. We go to the park, adventure walks and hikes. I am a very creative person and share in the enjoyment of creating drawings, crafts, and anything that can come to mind to entertain and learn. I haven't meet a box that I can't turn into a project.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It's important to be engaged and patient. Whether the child is 2 or 10, you need to be aware of things that make them feel good, loved, heard as well as know how to redirect, show empathy, and get them to move to a more positive feeling. Having fun is of course awesome, but its patience and being engaged is the best foundation to growing the relationship.
