Hi! My name is Jane! I am a 19 year old student from Raleigh, NC! I attend High Point university and am home for the summer! I absolutely adore volunteering and caring for kids and plan on working with kids for the rest of my life! I am very diligent when caring for children and always provide the best care! I also believe that engaging young minds with fun hands on activities, creativity, and imagination is very important in their development!I am able to provide part-time care due to summer classes i’m taking in hopes to graduate early. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Most recently before I left for college I was a part-time nanny for a family of 3! I have babysat for many families over the past couple of years! I also volunteer with children with helping them with homework, tutoring, and just doing fun activities!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing fun arts and crafts with kids! I definitely think that a creative mind is very important and especially key for young kids to develop! I also enjoy doing outdoor activities such as going to parks, or just taking a nature walk! Museums are also a super fun activity I also enjoy doing myself!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Caring for children has always been my favorite thing to do, and what matters to me the most is making sure the child receives the best care, and also building healthy comforting relationships with the kids!

My experience with special needs children...

I have over 3 years of experience caring for two children on the autism spectrum, now ages 5 and 8, with different levels of support needs. One child requires more consistent, high-level care and close supervision, while the other benefits from more moderate guidance. Through my experience, I’ve developed strong skills in emotional regulation support, sensory awareness, and creating individualized ways to engage each child based on their needs. I am very attentive to each child’s unique communication style and always adapt my approach to create a calm, supportive, and safe environment. I’m confident in helping children through moments of emotional distress by using patience, reassurance, and comfort to help them feel understood. I also love engaging them in activities that match their developmental levels, encouraging learning, creativity, and positive reinforcement!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I would say my favorite memory while working with kids were any time the kids I babysat for felt comfortable talking to me about things that they were struggling with involving school or other kids. I also will never forget the times when volunteering, when I would tutor them and help with homework, and the next time I would come volunteer, they would bring me a paper with a big smile on their face showing me how well they did on the assignment!
