I have experience working in a daycare caring for children from 6 months to 4 years old, where I worked for 1 year. I also worked as a nanny for a 2-year-old girl for 1 year and a half. My responsibilities included feeding, nap time routines, early childhood stimulation, fine and gross motor skill activities, teaching routines and manners, potty training support, interactive learning activities, and personalized care based on each child’s needs and developmental stage. I always focus on creating a safe, loving, and structured environment where children feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged to learn and grow.

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trusting environment where children feel supported, understood, and happy. Every child is different, so being patient, attentive, and emotionally present is very important to help them grow with confidence and feel secure while learning and exploring the world around them.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience caring for a child with food allergies and chronic digestive issues, including constipation. I was responsible for carefully following the doctor’s and parents’ instructions regarding what foods she could and could not eat, as well as being aware of her allergy medications, including an EpiPen for emergencies. This experience taught me the importance of being very attentive, responsible, and detail-oriented when caring for children with special health needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny was seeing the little girl I cared for become more confident and independent over time. Watching her learn new words, follow routines on her own, and get excited during our learning games made me feel very proud and emotionally connected to her growth. Small moments like seeing her smile when she accomplished something new or run to hug me every morning are the memories that make childcare so special to me.
