More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My experience with children was being a head teacher, so constructing my own curriculum for the preschoolers. As a Behavioral Technician, I would go to each clients home after their day of school and assist them with ADL. In college I was tutor for kids from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Plus, growing up I used to babysit my little sister and cousins. I come from a big family, knowing how to cook and clean, making sure everyone is accounted for.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing arts and crafts with kids! As an artist myself, it’s incredibly rewarding to see them express their creativity. I often paint with my niece, which brings us closer and allows me to share my passion for art. I enjoy creating a space where kids can explore their imagination and make their own masterpieces.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Most important part about being a nanny is building a connection with the children and the family to make things go smoother. Being a safe and trusting space for both the child and family.

My experience with special needs children...

Working at the preschool, I had the pleasure of teaching children with autism. As a Behavioral Technician, this became a central focus of my role. I found it incredibly rewarding to learn about each child individually and build meaningful connections, allowing me to tailor my approach to meet their unique needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

This may not completely be a nanny moment but one of my most cherished experiences as a preschool teacher has been the affectionate nicknames given to me by my students. When children began to call me ‘Gigi,’ and later, as a teaching assistant, ‘Aunite,’ it deeply touched my heart. These names reflect the meaningful connections I have built with each child, showing the trust we develop in the classroom. It will always be a piece of my heart string. Even my own niece she when she called me Titi for the first time my heart was filled to brim with joy!! Watching her learn who I was in her life made our connection even stronger.
