A little about myself:

I was raised in Garner, North Carolina since 7 years of age. I went off to college in 2016, attending The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. There I obtained my B.S in Psychology, graduating in 2020. While in school I nannied 3 elementary school boys and I also started Cleaning Service. Those two years were amazing I grew and learned with the kids and with the parents. After graduating I accepted a full time live in position in Western Carolina nannying 1 4 year old up until his school transition. I then started teaching Transitional Kindergarten, Toddlers and Infants in a licensed childcare facility. Working there has increased my previous expertise in, ratios, sanitation, nap and feeding schedules, activities, playtime and overall structure . This career landed me a Job back home here in Garner, NC. I always knew I wanted to come back, just never knew the time!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love paint play with the babies and older kids - they love the mess and I enjoy the art with them. Safe water play is always fun- even just “washing hands” they love that. I personally love outside time. I’ve nannied children where some kids loved the out doors and some preferred the indoors - although over the course of I was able to get them out doors more on little “hikes” and they loved it - the creeks and rocks, etc. Also park play is fun all ages find things to enjoy at greenways and parks

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important role to me as being a nanny is bonding in an effective way. Effective as in understanding the parents goal and their parenting style implementing that while loving and nurturing the child while also structuring them and preparing them to meet their next milestone.

Spending my latest time with children working in a childcare facility, I have worked we a few children with special needs. Including: autism of different spectrums, adhd and post surgery
