My name is Jasmine Ryan and I am a 24 year old college graduate with a degree in Theatre Education. I love animals, children, and have real classroom experience with all ages of children. I taught professionally for one year at Crockett ISD as an art/theatre teacher on all campuses. I also spent a large time in my youth caring for my siblings while my parents worked. My older brother is autistic, so I have experience with children on the spectrum and am confident in my abilities to properly accommodate any needs a child may have. I was a teacher for one full year covering all age groups.
I also cared for my siblings for many years, including my autistic brother.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love imaginative play! As a theatre/art teacher, I gained a lot of experience playing interesting and diverse games that stimulate mental growth & feel fun! I personally tend to gravitate towards the Montessori method. As a creative person, I love to lead children in lots of activities in that nature. I can teach them how to draw, encourage playfulness, and love to teach kids about nature and help them develop their interests. I am all about being active with kids and exploring their personal talents.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, being a part of a child's life creates an opportunity to amplify the magic of childhood. My favorite thing about teaching was being able to help turn everyday things into memories that children would value and enjoy. Childhood is all about enjoyment and learning how to navigate ourselves and others. I find it a joy to be part of the village that children benefit from. :)

I have an autistic brother that I spent many years caring for. He has taught me patience, understanding, and I credit him with my ability to gently navigate all of the big feelings tiny humans experience.
