More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience caring for children through tutoring students in grades K–5 at Lincoln Elementary during high school. I worked with students of different ages and learned the importance of patience, communication, and making sure children feel supported. I also participated in an elementary education job-shadowing experience, where I observed teachers working with children in the classroom. These experiences helped me develop my ability to connect with children, be responsible, and create a positive and safe environment for them. I am currently majoring in Elementary Education at Northern Arizona University, and I look forward to continuing to gain experience working with children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing fun, creative, and educational activities with children! Some of my favorite activities include arts and crafts, coloring, reading stories, playing educational games, helping with homework, and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy imaginative play, music, dancing, and finding fun ways to help children learn new things. I love encouraging children's creativity, making them laugh, and creating a safe, happy environment where they can have fun while learning and growing.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is making sure children feel safe, loved, supported, and comfortable while their parents are away. A nanny should be patient, responsible, trustworthy, and understanding of each child's individual needs and personality. I also believe it's important to communicate with parents, create a positive environment, and make sure children can have fun while learning and growing. To me, being a nanny is more than just watching children; it's about building trust, being a positive role model, and making a meaningful difference in their lives.
My experience with special needs children...
Throughout my life, I have had personal experience being around and learning about the care of individuals with disabilities because I have an older brother with a disability. Growing up, I watched my mom care for him, and I continue to see the patience, understanding, compassion, and dedication that caring for someone with special needs requires. This has helped me understand the importance of being supportive, respectful, attentive, and patient with each person's individual needs. Although my experience has primarily been through my family, it has taught me valuable lessons about compassion and providing care with love and understanding.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments when working with children is seeing them learn something new and watching their excitement when they finally understand it. I love being able to encourage children, make them smile, and help them feel confident in themselves. Those little moments remind me how important it is to be patient, supportive, and present in a child's life. As an Elementary Education major, I look forward to creating more meaningful memories with the children I care for!
