The most important part about being a nanny...
The child/children's well-being should be great and their needs should always be met no matter the occasion (within reason of course). Children are very sensitive and aware to their emotions and ours as adults, and the littlest thing can upset them and cause a disturbance in their bodily functions. I try my absolute best to make sure that the child/children are as comfortable as possible!
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I was babysitting for a family with a toddler about 3 years old, I put her in her high chair without strapping her in just so I could quickly grab her food from the kitchen. I get distracted and start to clean a bit, but then I hear shuffling. I peek around the corner to see what she was doing and she was half way out of the chair clinging to the side like a climber. It was the funniest sight I had seen that day.
