A little bit about me

My name is Jazmen Cabrera, I am 19 years old and I am the oldest of three children and 10 grandchildren. Naturally, being the oldest, I was granted the position of the family babysitter. I love my cousins and I'm great with kids so it wasn't a burden. Even though I am fairly young myself, I believe that children are the future and if they have the proper support they can generate great change. In a sense, I've helped raise my siblings and along the way I've tried my best to instill upon them the ideas of tolerance, acceptance and understanding. As a caretaker, I hope to provide protection and guidance as well as an appropriate level of friendship and trust. During my junior year of high school I volunteered through the elementary school I attended to be a "cabin leader" for their annual fifth grade science trip. I looked after 8 girls around the ages of 9-10 from the beginning of the day until the end, including evening hours (we shared living quarters for safety purposes). Additionally, I helped supervise a co-ed group of around 20 kids with two peers and an instructor during hikes, beach outings and other outdoor activities. I am available weekdays and weekends/holidays if needed, we can workout a schedule that best fits your needs. I am a licensed driver so I would be happy to pick them up/drop them off at school or on play-dates. I think it is important for children to be active and social so I am willing to take them to the park as well as museums and even Disneyland (if you would like, I have an annual pass so it's really no trouble) I can also teach your kids origami and I know a moderate level of Spanish so I can share my knowledge and we can continue learning more together. I am an animal lover-and I'm not allergic to pet dander-so if you have a family pet that also needs looking after I am able to help in that area as well.
