One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when one of my little ones I was caring for was super nervous about reading out loud. We were sitting together, and instead of pushing them, I made the reading time fun by pretending to be a goofy character. I read with these cute voices, and it got them to start laughing. Slowly, they began reading a few words with me, and by the end of the week, they were confidently reading whole sentences on their own. It was such a rewarding moment, seeing their confidence grow.
