Privately for several families, the local school district with the transportation department and a church nursery.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing games, reading, coloring, making crafts, playing outside either on play equipment or games such as hide and seek, tag, going for walks and even being creative to have a treasure hunt in the yard. All depends upon the age of the child/children, their likes and of course attention span.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Knowing that they are getting the best possible care as I treat them like they were my own child. Teaching them throughout the day even when they are playing. Keeping them safe while in my care.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with special needs children in the transportation department in the school district keeping them safe and occupied during the rides to and from school.

The most important part about being a nanny...

So many memories of the children I cared for but I always loved the cuddling. I loved when I was teaching them different things such as tying shoes or even just writing their name and they finally were able to do it themselves or riding a bike without help it is just seeing the smiles from ear to ear that make you feel good that you taught them these things and them being so excited that they finally mastered the tasks. I love when I see the children while not working like when they see you in grocery store or somewhere and they call my name out and run to me hugging my legs when they run into me. So many great memories of different things that have happened its hard to say one favorite. I do enjoy the texts with pictures on weekends saying miss you can't wait for Monday with their pictures.
