The most important part about being a nanny is providing children with a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where they feel comfortable, supported, and cared for. I believe being dependable, patient, trustworthy, and attentive is essential. A nanny is not only responsible for meeting a child’s daily needs, but also for being a positive role model and supporting their growth, development, and confidence while respecting the parents’ routines and expectations.

My experience with special needs children...

My son was special needs, He was an epilepsy warrior and he had autism. I cared for him for 14 years but due to his disability my baby unfortunately passed. In honor him I still advocate and fight for the rights of special needs children. I have also worked at a behavioral center. I just needed a break because working with special needs can be a lot but I enjoy every bit of it.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moments are the everyday moments when I get to see the children grow, learn, and become their own little people. After being with the same family for over four years, it has been especially meaningful watching the children reach different milestones and knowing that I have been there to support them along the way. Whether it’s helping with homework, cheering them on at their sports activities, doing their hair, cooking a meal, or simply spending quality time together, I love knowing that I have become someone they trust and feel safe with. Those moments remind me that being a nanny is about so much more than childcare—it’s about building a meaningful relationship and being a positive part of a child’s life.
