A little bit about me

Hi! I'm Jeanie, I am 23 years old, and I would love to help you and your family! I love children and I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old. I am first aid and CPR certified and have a certification in clinical medical assisting. As of November, I will be a stay at home mother, so I am just looking for some part time babysitting to help cover some expenses since I am no longer working full time.
Since I will be a stay at home mother while babysitting/nanny-ing, I’d prefer to work for a family comfortable with me watching their children in my home. I will provide meals, lots of toys and fun, and as always, a safe, nurturing environment!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I began watching children at the age of 12. I started with watching a family friend's baby (supervised) when I found my love for being around kids.
Since then, as I grew and matured, I began watching children on my own for several different family members and family friends. I also have coached gymnastics from ages 18 months-12 years old.
I now have two children of my own, so I can say that I have the most hands on experience one can get!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love engaging with children. While independent play can be important for developmental reasons, I also firmly believe in interacting with kids and engaging with them.
I enjoy reading and showing them exciting pictures throughout the story. I love making up little games to encourage different developmental milestones, I enjoy dancing, and I enjoy having the children outside and/or taking them to the park!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny, to me, is ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in my care. This means providing a nurturing environment, protecting them from harm, and tending to their needs while monitoring for potential hazards and being prepared to respond to emergencies.

My experience with special needs children...

As a gymnastics coach, I worked with children of a wide variety of ages and needs.
I remember in particular one boy with autism who really took to me and I really enjoyed spending time with him in return.
I do not have much experience with special needs children, but I do have a tiny bit from my coaching experience.
