A little bit about me

hi, my name is Jemora Haywood and I am from Spartanburg South Carolina. I'm currently majoring in special education in early childhood development. I would love to gain more experience with toddlers and infants because that is my favorite. I have helped and taught children from the age of 0 to 4 years old I've watched in babysitting family friends and kids. I've always had a passion for helping kids. I want to be a teacher and now I'm just focusing on special education. I am very flexible and I understand a lot of things. Well, especially with communication. My top priority is safety and as well as building a connection with the child and the family because we have to trust each other.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been volunteer work with special needs children. I have babysitting children that were family. I have a lot of experience with children who are on the spectrum as well. I know some sign language.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

activities I enjoy doing with kids or indoor activities. I like to be creative because I know kids that can get bored very easily. Also a new outside activities such as sidewalk hog Legos and as far as inside we would do coloring, we would make cute pictures for mom and dad. We may get our hands dirty sometimes, but we will definitely have fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

what matters to me most about being a nanny is just making the child feel safe, making an appearance feel like they can trust me with their child that we could build a connection. I'll be just more than any. I'll be a family friend and somebody who they know would love and care about their child

My experience with special needs children...

my experience was special needs. Children has been with my niece. She is almost spectrum as well. She is 100% deaf with a speech impediment and as well as her brother he has a speech impediment and on spectrum. I've worked with some children who were autistic who needed medication at different times who needed an undivided attention .

The most important part about being a nanny...

our favorite nanny moment was when my niece who was deaf would go to school on Monday when her mom got her paper for the week they wrote that she kept saying Momo and what is so wonderful about that is if that is my nickname and she doesn't say anybody else's name, but she knows how to say my name and that just makes me feel so amazing because that shows that she remembers me she trust me she feels safe with me because she remembers my name and she's deaf and people might not understand that, but would spend a lot of time with her understanding her navigating sign language and trying to learn it with her which is a blessing that through any and everything and everybody she knows how to say my name.
