Anything that the child loves doing I’m into. Whether it’s having a fake tea party, or talking about sharks. I love it. Legos, hide and seek, reading, singing and dancing. Making up plays and acting them out and making them laugh.
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me it’s knowing that your children are with someone that they like and have fun with. Someone you can trust. Watching them grow and learn and build relationships and bonds with not only the parents but the Nanny also. Seeing glimpses of excitement in their faces when they realize they love something. The joy of being around a child is infectious. That happiness is what I take away the most.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most touching moment I had was when I was painting a child’s nails. I was holding her hand while painting her nail and, I’m not sure if she realized what she was doing, but she tightened her grip on my hand and squeezed it a little tighter in mine. It made my heart soar that she had so much trust in me and that we had bonded that much. I will never forget it.
