Creativity is my favorite way to help children explore themselves and what they like. If they’re older I enjoy painting, drawing activities. Going outside, cooking/baking, dancing and singing, and there is always a way to make learning fun too!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Patience I feel like. These are not your own kids and you have to be patient with them. Understanding how they feel instead of quick to lash out, patient with helping them figure stuff out, patience when doing just about any task with them is a requirement.
My experience with special needs children...
I have 6 months experience with one little girl who was 5 years old, she was very sweet and so was her family. My responsibilities for her where feeding, bathroom training, helping her learn, and walking practice. I spent 3 days a week with them and then lived with them for 2 months. They moved to a different city. But we still stay in touch!
The most important part about being a nanny...
For the babies it’s when they start walking and you get to hold their hand and walk around with them. I also like sharing snacks. Little things.
