A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Jenna, and I come from a big, family-oriented background that naturally shaped my love for working with kids. I grew up in a family of seven and have 17 younger cousins, so caring for children has always been a part of my life. From a young age, I’ve helped watch and care for my younger family members, along with babysitting for families upon request.

I also have experience as a gymnastics coach at Jonesboro Gymnastics Academy, where I worked with around 500 kids each week ranging from ages 5–16. This role taught me how to manage different personalities, keep kids engaged, and create a fun but structured environment where they feel safe and supported.

I’m patient, energetic, and genuinely enjoy helping kids learn, grow, and have fun. Whether it’s helping with routines, playing outside, or assisting with schoolwork, I aim to create a positive and reliable presence for both children and parents.

More About Me

I have extensive hands-on experience caring for children of all ages through both family and professional roles. Growing up in a large family, I regularly helped care for my younger siblings and 17 younger cousins, which gave me a strong foundation in childcare from an early age. I have also babysat for multiple families upon request, providing attentive and reliable care in home settings.

In addition, I worked as a gymnastics coach at Jonesboro Gymnastics Academy, where I coached approximately 500 children per week between the ages of 5–16. In this role, I supervised large groups, led structured activities, ensured safety, and helped children build confidence and skills in a fun, supportive environment.

Through these experiences, I have developed strong skills in patience, communication, multitasking, and creating a positive, engaging atmosphere for children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love creating fun, active, and meaningful experiences for kids. I especially enjoy spending time outdoors—going on walks, hiking, playing at parks, and just letting kids explore and be curious about the world around them. Being outside is something I value a lot, and I try to incorporate it whenever possible.

I also enjoy doing hands-on activities like arts and crafts, playing games, building things, and encouraging imaginative play. I like to keep kids engaged, moving, and thinking creatively.

I personally prefer to limit screen time and focus more on real-life interaction, learning, and play. My goal is always to create a fun, safe, and enriching environment where kids can grow, stay active, and genuinely enjoy their time.
