Unpaid Experience:
• My newly born baby sister, who’s now 2 months old. When my parents wanted to out for date night, I’d happily offer to watch and care for her during their outing.
• My 11 year old younger sister. If mom needed to go run an errand, I’m always there to make sure she’s taken care of whether it’s needing someone to play with, fixing a light meal, or simply keeping her company.
Paid experience:
• Neighbor’s 12 year old son. Despite being full of energy and ready to tear the house apart when parents are away, I was able to settle him down and get him to channel that energy towards other activities like lego-building or video games.
• Being a K-12 Tutor at Gideon Math and Reading Center where I worked with kids from diverse learning backgrounds where I showed patience and helped them grow in areas of improvement.

Indoor:
• I’m a big fan of mysteries, so a nice scavenger hunt to keep them occupied and pass time works wonders.
• It’s not a successful babysit if The Floor Is Lava isn’t played at least once!
• Any board or card game is a classic go-to, my favorite being Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza (it really is as crazy as it sounds).
• As a theater kid, we learned a bunch of improv games and one that my younger sister enjoys is One Word At A Time or Neutral (basically one walks neutrally until I give a random prompt and then they must act as though they are in that scenario until the word neutral is said again).
Outdoor:
• Can never go wrong with a game of tag!
• Outdoor scavenger hunts.
• Invisible obstacle course.
• If provided: Corn hole/ bean bag toss, capture the flag, badminton/ volleyball.

My experience with special needs children...
During my time as a tutor, I did work with young students with learning disabilities. It took time, but nothing was more rewarding than seeing them succeed. I take pride in helping those who need extra support, and see them less as a challenge and more as a person.
