More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was the homeroom mom for all of my children during their elementary school years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy reading books, playing board games, going on nature walks, playing outside, going to parks, dancing around to music, doing arts and crafts, and making education lots of fun!
One of my favorite activities is going on an alphabet scavenger hunt! We write all of the letters of the alphabet on a piece of paper and search the house or neighborhood for items that begin with each letter.
I also love math! It can be as simple as counting items when children are quite small or teaching multiplication in an easy-to-understand way.
Essentially, I love spending time with kids and getting to know them as individuals. I am happy to do activities they like while also introducing new ideas to see if they have an interest in them!
With babies, I love interacting with them, singing them songs, reading them books, doing age-appropriate sensory activities, and bringing them outside to get some fresh air!

The most important part about being a nanny...
I think caring for children is one of the most important jobs in the whole world!
I truly love helping others, so I enjoy giving parents peace of mind. They know their children will be well taken care of when they are with me!
I also think it's so important to give children a great foundation to guide them through the rest of their lives. I provide unconditional love while also setting clear and consistent boundaries!
Lastly, educating children is very important to me! I love teaching children in fun and playful ways! Learning should be exciting and enjoyable!
Kids only have one childhood, and I want to help make it wonderful!

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite part of nannying is seeing those "lightbulb" moments when the children grasp a new concept I am teaching them.
For instance, I did virtual school with a kindergartener, and I taught him how to read and even do multiplication. When that job ended, we had a huge pile of word flash cards that we had worked on, and he could read books to me! He knew how to do simple addition when I started, and by the time I left, we were doing multiplication (and having so much fun doing it)!
I really enjoy teaching, so those moments brought me so much joy!
I also really enjoy taking care of babies and watching them grow! I've raised three of my own children, so I understand how quickly the time flies by!
I am so grateful that my career allows me to be a special someone in children's lives!
