23+ Years as a Certified Educator: My career is dedicated to child development. Beyond 20+ years in the classroom (4th/5th grade), I am an Education Specialist providing 1:1 K-12 academic support and coaching in emotional regulation.
Family Wellness & Advocacy: I lead "Family Academies" on tech-free living and mental health wellness. I specialize in helping families navigate logistics, resource management, and household organization to reduce stress.
Veteran Parenting (17 Years): I have raised three independent children (ages 17, 15, and 13). This gives me the "real-world" intuition and calm that only comes from nearly two decades of daily parenting through every developmental stage.
Specialized Support: I am experienced in academic intervention, meal planning, and coordinating busy schedules. I bring the reliability of a professional with the warmth and common sense of a seasoned mother.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a firm believer in an active summer. I am a very hands-on nanny who loves to be right in the middle of the action! I enjoy:
Sports & Movement: I stay active and love playing catch, soccer, or basketball. I’m an avid golfer and enjoy taking kids to the range or the course. I’m just as comfortable jumping on the trampoline or swimming as I am coaching a specific skill.
Creative Exploration: I love making crafts, visiting local libraries, and exploring nature trails. I specialize in unplugged fun—finding ways to keep kids engaged without screens.
The Fun Basics: I’m always down for a movie marathon, board game tournaments, or baking in the kitchen.
Learning through Play: Because of my education background, I naturally weave learning into our day, whether it’s a science experiment or a trip to a local museum.
My goal is to be a partner in fun, ensuring the kids are moving, creating, and making the most of their summer break!

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is the ability to provide professional structure wrapped in a nurturing environment. In my 23+ years as an educator, I’ve mastered the art of classroom management—creating systems that help children feel secure and productive. I apply those same principles to home management: balancing a busy schedule, anticipating household needs, and maintaining a calm, organized flow. However, I know from raising my own three children that the magic happens in the middle of that structure.
It’s about being a trusted partner who handles the logistics and mental load for the parents, while ensuring the kids have someone who is fully present, emotionally supportive, and ready to turn a routine day into an adventure. Ultimately, it’s about creating a household where everyone—parents and children alike—can breathe easier because an expert is at the helm.

My experience with special needs children...
In my 23+ years of experience, I have worked extensively with children across the neurodiversity spectrum, both in the classroom and through 1-on-1 interventions. My expertise includes supporting students with ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, and various anxiety disorders. Beyond basic supervision, I focus on:
Emotional Regulation: Implementing strategies from my "Family Academy" work to help children manage transitions and sensory needs.
Executive Functioning: Helping students with ADHD build systems for organization and task completion.
Academic Modifications: Adjusting learning materials to meet a child’s specific developmental level.
Mental Health Wellness: Utilizing my background in wellness to provide a calm, structured environment that reduces anxiety.
I view "special needs" through a strengths-based lens and am comfortable collaborating with a child’s existing therapists or IEP goals to ensure a consistent summer routine.

The most important part about being a nanny...
While I have spent 23 years in the classroom, some of my favorite memories come from the "Home Camp" environment I created for my own three children. During the 2020 lockdowns, I wanted to ensure their world stayed big even while we were stuck inside. I designed a "Home Olympics" that lasted a full day.
We had opening ceremonies, medals, and creative events like "Socks-only Ice Skating" on the hardwood floors and living room gymnastics. It wasn't just about passing the time; it was about seeing them find joy and resilience through movement and creativity. That experience reinforced my belief that with a little imagination, any environment can become a place for growth and fun. I love bringing that same "intentional fun" to the families I work with, turning ordinary summer days into core memories
