The most important part about being a nanny in my opinion it’s to interact with the kids and get to know them. This, because not every child is the same and as a nanny we need to find different ways to communicate with them depending on the kids personality and age. When the nanny takes her time to known the child, he/her will definitely start to feel more comfortable and safe.
My experience with special needs children...
I only had a one day, 8 hrs experience with a special need girl and it was a very sweet experience. They are like every other kid you need to be very careful when they are under your watch just like with other kids. They are the most compassionate people, very general and kind. Making her laugh was my favorite part.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I would say that my favorite nanny moment is when the kids come to me and give me a hug without me asking for it. Every time a child is lovely with me it fills me up with joy because that makes me realize that the kid feels comfortable with me.
