More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked as a tutor for my Junior and Senior year of High School. Also. for 2 of the families that I was a nanny for, I was responsible for helping the children do their homework and study for tests.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Walks, roller skating, board games, art, going to the Library, making their studies fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Great communication between myself and the parents. Following through with punishments, so the children don't take advantage of me. And, limited screen time.

My experience with special needs children...

I volunteered to provide childcare at a church for approximately 2 years and one of the children that I cared for was mentally and physically disabled. Working with 'lil Jacob required much patience and empathy. In addition. I had a child in my home daycare that had special needs. He was unable to talk, so, I taught him some basic sign language which helped him to not get so frustrated when he was unable to communicate.

The most important part about being a nanny...

With the babies, I love to hear them learn to say my name. I really enjoy building a trusting relationship with the children. I also really enjoy teaching older children how to do basic cooking.
