Being the youngest of 3 girls, I have learned to care for children of many ages. It has been such an honor to help raise my 3 nephews as I have a very close-knit family. Although my sisters have only had boys, I come from a long line of girls. My grandpa has 10 granddaughters!

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is to not only remember to have fun but to understand that you will be a vital part of that child's life. It's important for the child or children to be able to look back when they're older and remember the positive impact you made on their life.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a younger cousin and nephew that both have autism. They are very sweet and have the most loving/caring hearts. Of course, they have some bad days but positive reinforcement, encouragement, and care can really help them feel more secure.
