More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve been caring for children since high school and spent college nannying full-time for two families with kids under age three. I’ve also cared for a five- and nine-year-old, handling after-school activities and homework help. In my current child welfare role, I work daily with children who have experienced trauma or have special needs, helping them feel safe and supported. These experiences have taught me how to be calm, patient, and creative in every situation.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love spending time outdoors, doing arts and crafts, reading stories, baking together, and finding fun ways to make learning part of everyday play. I enjoy creating sensory activities, planning themed days, or helping with homework and reading practice. My goal is always to make kids feel happy, curious, and confident while keeping things structured and safe.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building trust – with both the child and the parents. I want families to feel completely at ease knowing their child is cared for with love, attention, and respect. Every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and free to be themselves, and I take pride in helping create that environment.
My experience with special needs children...
Through my work in child welfare, I’ve supported children with developmental delays, sensory needs, ADHD, autism, and trauma-related challenges. I focus on patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. I’m comfortable adapting activities to each child’s abilities and strengths, following individualized plans, and using empathy and structure to help every child thrive.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite memories was watching a little one I cared for take their very first steps – we had been practicing for weeks, and seeing their excitement (and the proud look on their parents’ faces) was unforgettable. Those small moments of growth and connection are what I love most about working with kids.
