A little bit about me

I’m 26 year old special education teacher for the Alamance-Burlington School System (ABSS). I have around 10 years of babysitting and nannying experience! I love working with kids and helping them learn in many ways! I’m looking for a nanny job for my summer break from teaching as I go back to work on August 18th. I would be open to continuing to nanny for occasional nights and weekends once school starts back up.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been babysitting and working for kids since I was in middle school. I babysat/nannied all through college and have continued to do so part time while teaching.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love engaging in imaginary play with children inside as well as play-doh, puzzles, coloring, hide and seek, and other games the children come up with. Outside, I love playing tag, sports, hide and seek, and any other games that the children think of. I’m big on letting the children choose what to play to encourage them to be creative. I also love encouraging them to move their bodies

The most important part about being a nanny...

is making sure that the children's needs are met, they’re happy, and they feel safe. Another important part is helping the children learn new skills and encouraging them to be the best version of themselves that they can be.

My experience with special needs children...

I received a bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Appalachian State University in May 2020. I have been teaching as a K-2 adapted curriculum teacher for 3 years now.

when a little girl from a family I help babysit for was so eager for me to watch her and her brothers that she said “bye mom, bye dad” and began pushing them out the door
