Hello everyone! I am a single mom to a 5.5 year old boy who is on the autism spectrum and I am looking for a nanny position. Going into summer my son will obviously not be in school and there are a couple different options and routes I could take depending on your schedule and needs and that could be further discussed, but it is likely that there will be times I will need to have him with me, so a family would need to be open to that idea. I have a ton of experience babysitting from a very young age, I have held nanny positions in the past, I have cared for up to 5 children at one time, cared for children ages ranged from 1 month to 12 years old. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I greatly enjoy being outdoors with children, I spent a good part of my high school years in a program called Environmental Science School and I have vast knowledge of plants, creatures, bugs, etc. and I love teaching kids when they are eager to learn. I also love singing, reading, creative art projects, puzzles, board games. I love cooking, I was a chef at Microsoft before I had my son, and I love making simple recipes with children if they are interested, and I love doing activities like cookie or cake decorating with children!

My experience with special needs children...

I have a lot of experience with special needs, including my own son who has been in occupational, speech, and ABA therapies since he was 2.5 years old. I have gained some informal skills surrounding children with speech delay, trouble transitioning, and a great amount of knowledge pertaining to ASD and the methods used through ABA therapy.
