I helped my mother at whetstone daycare, I have 2 teens of my own, the oldest of 9 siblings, and the aunt/great aunt to 11 little ones

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Coloring, singing, dancing, cooking (if age appropriate), I like to make cleaning fun, and incourage the children to participate within reason. I love reading to them and making crafts with them. I also enjoy Taking walks, watching cartoons, and playing

My experience with special needs children...

Like I said I helped my mother at whetstone day care they deal with mostly special needs children. I have cared for children who are deaf or hard of hearing so I know a fair amount of sign language, I have cared for children with add, adhd, down syndrome, & autism

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have so many but more recently I was dressing My nephew (3) for the day and he kisses My shoulder and says in his sweet little voice "Aunt Dess, I wuv you wiff my whoooooollllllleeee heart" it was so sweet lol but when my 16 year old son was about 3 or 4 I was watching his cousin, his cousin tried to give him a hug and My son pushes him away and screams "MOMMY EJ TRIED TO EAT MY BRAINS!!!" LOL I have no idea where it came from because at the time we didn't watch any zombie shows or movies with him but I had to calm the little guy down and explain that his cousin was just trying to give him some loves & not trying to eat his brain lol
