Hi, my name is Jessica. I’m a single mother of 2 children. I have 3 years experience with child care. I worked at a daycare for those 3 years, and became a part of the Pre-K 4 program, I had my own class of about 10, 4 year olds. I also worked closely with 5-12 year olds with the after school program and summer camp program. Some of my duties included scheduling; meal preparations; cleaning; communication skills with children; and finding fun ways to get children involved in activities. The most important part about being a nanny...

When I worked at a daycare this one child(F4) was always at the coloring table. She absolutely loves to color. But all the other children would bring their own coloring books and they wouldn’t share with her. And it really upset me so one day I went and bought her a coloring book for herself and instead of keeping them all to herself she decided to share with the other children. And when I asked her why she said because I taught her to treat people how she wanted to be treated. And I will forever remember that moment.
